The Echinacea Tanager Perennial Echinacea Coneflowers boast an impressive range of colors, but its most striking feature is its vibrant orange-red hue. As the perfect namesake for this eye-catching coneflower, it produces 3½" tangerine orange flowers with deeply layered petals and dark cones on dark stems that contrast beautifully with its dark foliage. Its exceptional basal branching has also been highly praised. These coneflowers are adored for their cheerful and vividly colored blooms, making them a must-have in any garden.
And don't forget to leave some spent blooms on the plants during fall, as their seeds provide vital nourishment for finches and other birds. Even after the blooms have withered, the dried seed heads will continue to provide architectural interest in the winter.
