Kniphofia (common name Red Hot Poker) is a distinctive perennial native to South Africa. It features vivid, tubular flower spikes that look like glowing torches, blooming in red, orange, yellow, or cream hues with gradient transitions. The plant grows between 2 and 5 feet tall, depending on the variety, and has long, grass-like foliage. Blooming from late spring through early fall, it attracts pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
