Striking shapes and stunning colors year round. Succulents are plants which have evolved with thick, fleshy leaves, stems, or roots designed to store water, allowing them to survive in arid or dry environments with little rainfall. "Succulent" is not an official botanical classification like "family" or "genus," but rather a functional term for the families of plants which carry these common traits. Here at Hosta King, we're talking Sedums and Sempervivums.
