Finely textured foliage emerges light blue and intensifies through summer. Graceful clumps have good heat tolerance and attractive panicled seed heads. Prefers well-drained soils.
Cool as Ice Festuca" (more commonly known as 'Cool as Ice' blue fescue, or Festuca x 'Cool as Ice') captivates with its mesmerizing steel-blue foliage that evolves from soft gray-green in spring to a brilliant icy blue as the season progresses. This compact, clump-forming perennial thrives as a low-maintenance accent plant, perfect for creating dramatic color contrasts and adding sophisticated texture to borders, containers, and landscape designs.
To maintain vigor and prevent center dieback, divide established clumps every 2-3 years in spring. Simply dig up the mound and cut it in half, replanting divisions in well-prepared soil. This routine maintenance keeps plants compact, dense, and performing at their peak for years to come.

Returns & Exchanges
Send us a request from our Chat bubble. Include your Order Number and Tell Us Why you are not satisfied and would like a refund. We require returns for refunds covering 6 or more plants so that we can review the plants and report back to our growers important issues. Unfortunately, we do not pay for return shipping.
