Shipped Trimmed and Ready to Plant. We sell starter plants, carefully trimmed and prepared for planting upon arrival. They are shipped as bare root, bulbs or plugs, not in containers. Plants depicted in pictures are at maturity.
Mennonite is a lesser-known but highly regarded hardneck garlic in the Purple Stripe subgroup—similar in style to Duganski but with its own distinct personality.
Clove count: 9–14 medium-sized, crescent-shaped cloves in a single layer.
Flavor: Hot and sharp when raw (true Purple Stripe heat), with a clean, bright garlic punch. Cooks to a nutty, full-bodied taste without bitterness.
Scape: Produces long, looping scapes—excellent for grilling or pesto.
Skin: Classic Purple Stripe look: glossy deep purple streaks on creamy white wrappers. Often more vividly striped than Duganski.
Storage: Solid for a hardneck—6–8 months in cool, dry storage.
Bulb size: Medium (1.5–2.25 inches); rarely gets huge but very consistent.

Your order should arrive within 4-10 days depending on where you live.
Returns & Exchanges
Send us a request from our Chat bubble. Include your Order Number and Tell Us Why you are not satisfied and would like a refund. We require returns for refunds covering 6 or more plants so that we can review the plants and report back to our growers important issues. Unfortunately, we do not pay for return shipping.

Shipping fees are as follows:
- $7.99 for orders up to $39.99
- $12.99 for orders between $40 and $79.99
- $16.99 for orders between $80 and $119.99
- $20.99 for orders between $120 and $159.99
- FREE for orders $160 or greater
