Nootka (full name: Nootka Rose) is a beloved softneck garlic in the Silverskin subgroup—famous for its beauty, braidability, and long shelf life. It’s a staple in Pacific Northwest gardens and one of the few softnecks that rival hardnecks in flavor depth.
Clove count: 12–20+ small-to-medium cloves per bulb, in multiple layers (like an onion).
Flavor: Mild to medium heat when raw—warm, garlicky, with a creamy, slightly sweet finish. Cooks to a rich, nutty taste without sharpness. Excellent for roasting whole.
Scape: None (softneck trait—energy goes to bulbs, not scapes).
Skin: Stunning rose-blushed, glossy silverskin wrappers—often streaked with deep pink, red, or mahogany. One of the prettiest garlics for braiding or market display.
Storage: Champion keeper—9–12+ months in cool, dry conditions (often into the next summer).
Bulb size: Medium (1.5–2.5 inches); consistent but rarely huge.

Your order should arrive within 4-10 days depending on where you live.
Returns & Exchanges
Send us a request from our Chat bubble. Include your Order Number and Tell Us Why you are not satisfied and would like a refund. We require returns for refunds covering 6 or more plants so that we can review the plants and report back to our growers important issues. Unfortunately, we do not pay for return shipping.

- $12.99 for orders between $40 and $79.99
- $16.99 for orders between $80 and $119.99
- $20.99 for orders between $120 and $159.99
- FREE for orders $160 or greater
